The Gallery
START SOMA is an upstart art gallery that was founded upon three very simple ideals:
Promote emerging artists. Our aim is to showcase original art by top emerging artists. Our dedicated curatorial team is constantly reviewing artist portfolios, and we actually commission emerging artists to create original pieces for sale in our gallery, charitable events and corporate art programs.
Sell original art. everything in our gallery is an original. No prints or lithographs. No mass-marketed pieces by "Painters of Light." Just original fine art, most of it created exclusively for sale at START SOMA .
Make it affordable. 95% of our inventory to date has been priced BELOW $1000, and we have sold hundreds of pieces of original art for less than $500. And we are ALWAYS willing to get creative with new collectors!
START SOMA strives toward something unique: a practical + welcoming common ground for emerging artists and the people who love their work.
